To draw a cartoon emotion, you need some form of imagination however, mirror is also good reference material.

Just look at the mirror, then do any expression of yourself, and remember it.

A cartoon’s emotion is easier than real life figure to draw, you don’t have to follow exactly the human texture, facial muscle and other details.

Drawing a scene – Well, to draw a complicated scene is quite a tough job. You have to consider many things, perspective, composition, story-based which means inside the story, people’s wearing, creatures’ look and etc.

Looking for references is one of the good way to kickstart. Reference materials obtained from TV documentary show, magazine such like National Geographic, photo on sceneries are good choice to get the ideas.
